May 4 - Rainy Run and Travel to Mbarara

On this Saturday, I had plans to play tennis with a friend in the Makerere University grounds. After arriving however, it started to drizzle and rain and clay courts don't make for a conducive tennis playing surface. Instead, we decided to go for a run! About halfway in to our run, the drizzle turned into torrential rain and we were completely soaked, but it felt cathartic to get my legs moving after being in the hospital for the whole week prior.

After the run, I was confronted with Kampala's signature traffic jam, this time coupled with the effects of a rainstorm and the President's convoy both coinciding. After drying off and eating a quick lunch, we set off to Mbarara.
