May 3 - Last Full Day at Mulago

Today, we returned to the hospital and had an intermittently-productive day getting feedback from users currently pursuing their Bachelors degrees in Cytology and Cytotechnologists in training. We also received feedback from a friend and medical officer, Dr. Timothy Kintu. Timothy is a friend of Dan and Usher from Mbarara University of Science and Technology and a new friend of mine from a previous trip to Nairobi, Kenya, and from the CUGH 2024 conference in Los Angeles earlier this year. Timothy braved a post-night call to come to the Mulago Pathology department to test our device. Timothy provided the unique perspective of a user who had previous experience in med-tech innovation and as a doctor who fills a different niche than most of our other cytotechnologist users.
