May 2 - A Productive Day with the Dream Team

After spending the holiday the day before away from the hospital, we were back and ready for a productive day in Mulago. And we did exactly that!

Dan and I were joined by Usher today. Usher is also a biomedical engineer who graduated from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, just like Dan. She has been interning for Ekyaalo Diagnostics for the last year and while working full time at the National Medical Stores in Kampala. With Usher's support on this day, we had around 11 users consisting of pathology residents, a senior house officer, and Dr. Lukande provide input on our app and workflow. For new readers, Dr. Lukande has been an advisor to this work from close to its inception and a personal mentor to me since around that time. We gained valuable feedback from him and the rest of the users on this day and left the hospital with lots of ideas for improvement and happy with our progress.
