Friday August 1st the team had a late night that extended into the early morning. With the goal to demo our prototype during our morning appointment with the pathologist at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital (level 6) the team worked in the night to try to fix the power supply and reassemble the prototypes. July 31st the team traveled 2.5 hours from Kampal to Jinja. While in Jinja we visited Jinja Regional Referral Hospital. The team interviewed a pathologist, a cytotechnologist, a laboratory manager and a surgeon. We gained insights into how healthcare is managed in rural low resource hospitals.
