Day 25: August 21st, 2025 Revital

Thursday August 21st the team drove to Kilifi to visit Revital Healthcare, Africas largest  medical device manufacturer. We discussed previous low cost global health innovations like the neonatal CPAP machine and learned about the pathway to mass manufacturing and implementation. Supply chain and international medical manufacturing certification requirements were among the most interesting points of conversation. The head of regulatory affairs Dr. Akash Sharma led us through the factory from raw materials> molding> sanitation> packaging> storage and everything in between. It was incredible to witness the complexity and precision that goes into the manufacturing of life saving technology.
